Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

“Awuke” Becomes Davido’s Longest No. 1 Single as a Lead Artiste

“Awuke” tallied 1.94 million on-demand streams (No. 3 on streaming) and 88.5 million in radio reach (No. 1 on radio) – as it adds another week at No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100.

As a result, it becomes Davido’s longest No. 1 song on the official singles chart history in Nigeria. Prior to this, all of Davido’s number-one singles as a lead artiste have spent only a week at the top of the chart; “FEM,” “Holy Ground,” “The Best,” and “NO COMPETITION.”

BNXN’s “Fi Kan We Kan” with Rema holds at No. 2 for another week while Fido’s “Awolowo” with Tiwa Savage climbs to a new peak of No. 3 on this week’s chart. It tallied 1.97 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming) and 46.5 million in radio reach (No. 10 on radio) – a new peak on both streaming and radio charts respectively.

Wizkid’s “Piece of My Heart” with Brent Faiyaz slips 3-4 on this week’s chart while Kizz Daniel’s “Marhaba” is steady at No. 5 – it led the chart for two straight weeks.

A number of tracks benefit from Grammy nominations this week; Asake’s “MMS” with Wizkid rebounds 9-6 on this week’s chart. It tallied 1.7 million on-demand streams (No. 6 on streaming) and 36 million in radio reach (No. 16 on radio).

It is important to note that “MMS” held its total activity week-over-week and its rise on the chart owes to other songs dropping in activity from last week. The song was able to hold its own due to the Grammy nod.

Fola’s “Alone” with BNXN drops 6-7 while Smur Lee & ODUMODUBLVCK’s former No. 1 “JUJU” with Shallipopi falls 7-8.

Rounding out this week’s top ten; Shallipopi & Olamide’s “Order” descends 8-9 in its second week on the chart while Burna Boy’s “Higher” rides its Grammy nomination back into the top ten at No. 10 (+12). It tallied 1.05 million on-demand streams (No. 19 on streaming, up 8% from last week) and 36.3 million in radio airplay impressions (No. 15 on radio, up 80% from last week).

Outside the Top Ten

Just outside the top ten;

  • Olamide’s “Hello Habibi” with Russ re-enters the Top 100 at No. 11. The song originally peaked at No. 7 on the chart.
  • Lil Kesh’s “Vex For U” with Fireboy DML & Ayo Maff debuts at No. 12.
  • Outsyd DJ’s “Feel D Mood” with Famous Pluto, Outsyd Eddie & Tega Boi DC hits a new peak of No. 14.
  • Kizz Daniel & Adekunle Gold’s “Pano Tona” debuts at No. 16 off four days of tracking. It is aiming for a top 5 lift on next week’s chart for its first full week of tracking.
