Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio and satellite TV in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria
“Party No Dey Stop” tallied 3.12 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming for a second week) and 75.2 million in radio reach (No. 4 on radio). Last week, it became the first No. 1 single for both artistes. It is also the first No. 1 song in Nigeria released under Def Jam Recordings.
BNXN fka Buju’s “Gwagwalada” with Kizz Daniel & Seyi Vibez holds at No. 2 for another week after spending four weeks at the summit.
Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr & Young Jonn’s “Stamina” ascends to a new peak of No. 3 on the Top 100. It is the second highest charting single for Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr’s sixth top five entry (which includes four No. 1 hits) and Young Jonn’s second highest charting single (behind only the No. 1 hit “Xtra Cool”). With "Stamina" (No. 3 peak) and "Who Is Your Guy (Remix)" (No. 2 peak), Tiwa Savage has already equaled her total number for top ten entries from 2022 as well as equaling and surpassing her previous highest charting single; "Loaded" (No. 3 peak).
Spyro & Tiwa Savage’s “Who Is Your Guy (Remix)” dips to No. 4 after reaching No. 2 on the chart while Victony’s “Soweto (Remix)” featuring Tempoe, Rema and Don Toliver rockets to a new peak of No. 5.
As a result, Victony’s hit single breaks the record of longest period before reaching the top five – 29 weeks. Omah Lay’s “soso” (also produced by Tempoe) held the previous record with 24 weeks.
“Soweto (Remix)” marks Don Toliver’s first top ten entry in Nigeria.
Omah Lay’s “soso” retreats to No. 6 after spending multiple weeks at its No. 2 peak while Rema’s “Holiday” falls 6-7.
Rounding out this week’s top ten; “Declan Rice” by Odumodublvck debuts at No. 8 on the Nigeria Top 100 – becoming the artiste’s first top ten entry. It is also the first Hip-Hop/Rap song to debut in the top ten since Black Sherif’s “Kwaku The Traveller” debuted at No. 1 during the week of March 31 – April 6, 2022 (almost a year ago).
The last Nigerian rapper to have a top ten Hip-Hop/Rap song debut in the top ten was Ladipoe’s “Running” with Fireboy DML in the week of October 22 – 28, 2021. The success of “Dcelan Rice” led to a surge in the artiste’s discography during the week resulting in “Picanto” reaching a new peak of No. 25 on the Top 100.
Khaid’s “Carry Me Go” slips 8-9 while Ayra Starr’s “Sability” Is down 7-10.
