Omah Lay's "soso" rises to No. 1 on this week's official radio chart in Nigeria, becoming the artiste's fifth No. 1 entry on the radio chart. As a result, he breaks a tie with Davido to become the solo artiste with the most leaders on the airplay chart.
Omah Lay's first No. 1 on the radio chart came courtesy of the six-week No. 1 "Godly." The artiste followed it up with "Forever (Remix)" with Gyakie which led for four weeks in 2021, before adding to his tally with "Peaches (Masterkraft Remix)" [1 week at No. 1 on the radio chart].
The artiste's fourth radio No. 1 came also in 2021; "Understand" topped the airplay chart for five weeks during the year.
"soso" spent a total of 32 weeks on the radio chart before climbing to No. 1; it is the longest climb since debut to No. 1 in the chart history. The song ended the record-equalling streak of Ruger's "Asiwaju" that has led the chart for the last ten weeks.
On the Official Nigeria Top 100, "soso" has peaked at No. 2 so far, returning to its peak on the latest issue of the chart this week.
