Wizkid Secures New Deal With Creative Artists Agency For North American Representation
Wizkid has reportedly signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for his live music and touring representation in North America, a move that underlines both his commercial reach and the growing weight of Afrobeats on the global concert circuit.
The agreement places Creative Artists Agency agents, Zack Borson and Joseph Harris in charge of the artist’s North American live operations and festival bookings. Outside North America, Wizkid will remain represented by United Talent Agency (UTA), whilst stepping away from his previous full-globe live remit, preserving the international structure that has supported his rise across Europe, Africa and other key markets. In practical terms, the deal does not remake Wizkid’s team. It more or less sharpens it, Starboy Entertainment remains responsible for management. Storm Management continues to oversee his modelling, and FYI Brand Group handles publicity. So rather than abandoning his existing partners, Wizkid appears to be re-organising his live business around the regions that matter most, with North America now being treated as its own priority market. This signing adds Wizkid to the global music roster of the CAA joining the likes of 21 Savage, Adele, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Asake and others, one capable of supporting a more ambitious touring run, larger production and possibly stronger positioning at the continent’s biggest festivals.
This is a very significant symbolism for Afrobeats, the genre’s leading artists are increasingly negotiating from a position of leverage, with proven audiences that can fill arenas and compete for headline space. Wizkid has already graced landmark stages including London’s O2 Arena and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he made history as the first African artist to headline the venue. His partnership with CAA is another sign that African music’s global expansion is powered by artists whose talent, consistency and command of the stage have earned them a place among the world’s biggest live performers.
