Cazulee and Badass join forces on Twenties, a mixtape that peels back the layers of growing up in Lagos, capturing the raw, restless energy of youth against the backdrop of a vibrant, yet unforgiving metropolis. Released under Dapper Music and Entertainment, the project is a striking blend of Cazulee’s vivid storytelling and Badass’ instinctive, shape-shifting production, distilling the highs, lows, and in-betweens of navigating adulthood in the city.  

Each track on Twenties tells its own tale, forming a mosaic of experiences both deeply personal and widely relatable. Opener “Alone” sets the tone with a brooding reflection on solitude and self-reliance, and Cazulee creates and finds different pockets across the project’s five songs, bringing along guest artistes Minz, Rybeena for this dynamic ride having them on “Good Stuff” and “I Know” respectively. 

Throughout the project, Cazulee plays the role of both observer and participant in these vivid, image-forming narratives, crooning about his experiences with a fluid and commanding delivery. Badass’ production acts as both a catalyst and a leveler as he pushes the sonic envelope while keeping the project grounded with a vibrant feeling. With the guidance of Dapper Music and Entertainment in crafting and promotion of the project, the duo has crafted a body of work that is both a timestamp and an honest, unvarnished look at youth, ambition, and survival in a city that never slows down.
