Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

“Piece of My Heart” Makes History With Its No. 1 Debut

Wizkid’s “Piece of My Heart” with Brent Faiyaz tallied 4.51 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming) and 61.1 million in radio reach (No. 4 on radio) as it makes a splash at the top of this week’s Official Nigeria Top 100.

It is Wizkid’s third No. 1 single in Nigeria (and second of 2024) while Brent Faiyaz scores his first No. 1 in Nigeria (remarkably in any country).

Record Streams on Premium Streaming

“Piece of My Heart” tallied 3.16 million on-demand streams on premium streaming platforms alone – a number that would have still made it the most-streamed song in Nigeria this week without any freemium streams. The song was not available for download on Boomplay Nigeria in its first, which means it failed to chart on the platform.

As a result, “Piece of My Heart” becomes only the second song ever to reach No. 1 on the official singles chart without being available on one of the 5 major streaming platforms in the country. It joins Gyakie’s “Forever (Remix)” with Omah Lay which topped the chart for four weeks in 2021.

All of Wizkid’s No. 1 Songs in Nigeria

  1. “MMS” with Asake – 3 weeks at No. 1
  2. “Piece of My Heart” with Brent Faiyaz – 1 week at No. 1
  3. “Ginger” with Burna Boy – 1 week at No. 1

BNXN & Rema’s heavyweight colla “Fi Kan We Kan” jumps to a new peak of No. 2 in its first full week of release – the song initially debuted at No. 16 last week off two days of tracking.

It tallied 88.6 million in radio reach (No. 1 on radio) and 2.82 million on-demand streams (No. 2 on streaming). “Fi Kan We Kan” is BNXN’s 19th top ten entry in Nigeria while Rema scores his 17th top ten song on the official singles chart in Nigeria.

Kizz Daniel’s “Marhaba” drops 1-3 after topping the chart for two weeks.

Smur Lee & ODUMODUBLVCK’s “JUJU” with Shallipopi dips 3-4 – the song led the singles chart for four consecutive weeks.

Fola’s “Alone” with BNXN slips to No. 5 from its No. 4 peak.

Asake’s “MMS” with Wizkid tumbles 2-6 on this week’s chart. It has spent 11 weeks on the chart including three weeks at No. 1.

Fido’s “Awolowo” falls 5-7 on this week’s chart.

Rounding out this week’s top ten; Tiwa Savage’s “Forgiveness” debuts at No. 8 with 76.3 million in radio airplay impressions (No. 3 on radio) and 139,000 on-demand streams (No. 188 on streaming).

It is Tiwa Savage’s eighth top entry on the official singles chart in Nigeria– only Ayra Starr has more amongst female artistes on the chart.

Darkoo’s “Favorite Girl” with Rema drops 6-9 after peaking at No. 3 on the chart while Shallipopi’s “Free Service” climbs 14-10 on this week’s chart following increased radio activity (45.7M in radio impressions, up 92.8% from last week).
