Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

“JUJU” Lifts to No. 1 on the Top 100

Smur Lee & ODUMODUBLVCK’s “JUJU” featuring Shallipopi tallied 3.45 million on-demand streams (No. 1 on streaming) and 53.5 million in radio airplay impressions (No. 8 on radio). As a result, it rises from No. 8 to No. 1 on this week’s official singles chart in Nigeria.

ODUMODUBLVCK & Shallipopi Lee Makes History

The duo of ODUMODUBLVCK & Shallipopi become the second pair to reach No. 1 on the official singles chart with multiple songs– joining Olamide & Asake. ODUMODUBLVCK & Shallipopi previously led the Official Nigeria Top 100 with “Cast,” which topped the chart for three weeks in 2023. [Olamide & Asake have topped the chart with “Omo Ope” (2022) and “Amapiano” (2023) respectively].

“JUJU” marks Smur Lee’s first visit to the Top 100 – hence making her the fifth artiste to reach the top of the chart with their first chart entry in 2020 [following Muyeez with “Instagram” and the trio of Brown Joel, BoyPee & Hyce with “Ogechi (Remix)”]. All the acts benefited from being on records with established artistes who have at least one No. 1 song before; Seyi Vibez co-signed Muyeez while Davido provided the assist for BoyPee, Brown Joel & Hyce.

Shallipopi earns his third No. 1 entry of 2024 and fourth overall – he becomes the artiste with the most No. 1 songs this year (“ASAP” and “BENIN BOYS”) and the fastest to accumulate four No. 1 songs since Asake in 2022. Shallipopi has accumulated four No. 1 entries in less than a year.

ODUMODUBLVCK equals Olamide as the rappers with the most No. 1 songs on the official singles chart in Nigeria (3 each).

Asake’s “MMS” with Wizkid dips 1-2 after topping the chart for three consecutive weeks.

Darkoo’s “Rema” with Rema moves to a new peak of No. 3 on this week’s chart with 2.42 million on-demand streams (No. 4 on streaming) and 56.4 million in radio reach (No. 7 on radio).

Omah Lay’s “Moving” drops 2-4 in its second week on the chart – it leads radio with 80.8 million in radio reach.

Asake’s “Active” with Travis Scott drops 3-5.

Zinoleesky’s “Abinikanda” with Naira Marley debuts at No. 6 on this week’s chart with 3.21 million on-demand streams (No. 2 on streaming). Its entire Top 100 chart points come from streaming.

Kaestyle & Kizz Daniel’s “My Dealer (Remix)” holds at No. 7 for another week.

Rounding out this week’s top ten; Burna Boy’s “Higher” drops 5-8 in its tenth week on the chart, Rema’s “OZEBA” falls 6-9 in its eighth week on the chart. The song peaked at No. 3.

Fireboy DML’s “Iseoluwa” debuts at No. 10 with 1.77 million on-demand streams (No. 7 on streaming) and 41.2 million in radio reach (No. 18 on radio).

Just Outside the Top Ten

Fireboy DML has ten entries off his new album outside the top ten of this week’s Top 100.
