Burna Boy’s “Higher” Lifts to No. 1 on this week’s Official Nigeria Top 100, Olamide Has Three Entries in The Top Ten

Chart rankings on the Official Nigeria Top 100 are based on a weighted formula incorporating audio and video streams within Nigeria, as well as airplay on radio in the country. It is the first and only standard music chart in Nigeria, providing comprehensive music activity including the official No. 1 song in Nigeria

Burna Boy Goes No. 1 For The Second Time in 2024 

Burna Boy’s “Higher” moves to the summit of this week’s Official Nigeria Top 100. It tallied 4.08 million on-demand streams (No. 2 on streaming) and 65 million in radio airplay impressions (No. 1 on radio). It is Burna Boy’s second No. 1 song in 2024 (after “Tshwala Bam (Remix)” topped the chart for five weeks) and sixth overall. 

“Higher” is Burna Boy’s first song as a lead artiste to reach No. 1 on the official singles chart in Nigeria since “For My Hand” topped the chart for a week in 2022 (two years ago from today).

BoyPee, Hyce & Brown Joel’s “Ogechi (Remix)” with Davido slips 1-2 – it leads the streaming chart for another week with 4.18 million on-demand streams. 

Olamide’s “Metaverse” holds at its No. 3 debut for another week while the rest of the top five remains unchanged from last week; former No. 1 “BENIN BOYS” by Rema & Shallipopi holds at No. 4 while Asake & Central Cee’s “Wave” is steady at No. 5. 

Ayo Maff & Fireboy DML’s “Dealer” which is shaping to be one of the most enduring top ten hits of 2024 rebounds 8-6, Kizz Daniel’s “Double” returns to the top ten at No. 7. 

Rounding out this week’s top ten; Olamide’s pair of top ten entries “Hello Habibi” and “Uptown Disco” with Asake & Fireboy DML at No. 8 and No. 9 respectively – and Kaestyle & Omah Lay’s “My Dealer” remains at No. 10 for another week. 

Outside the Top Ten

Just outside the top ten; 

  • TML Vibez’s “Where I’m From” with Seyi Vibez rises to a new peak of No. 12

  • Rema’s “Hehehe” debuts at No. 14 with just four days of tracking. 

  • Victony’s “Ludo” with Shallipopi moves to a new peak of No. 21. 

  • Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” jumps 34 places into a new peak at No. 40 in its tenth week on the chart – following the release of its official music video.
