Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” is the latest of just four No. 1 songs to have twice as many chart points as the No. 2 song in a week. 

Asake’s “Lonely At The Top” is the gift that keeps on giving. After debuting at No 11. on the singles charts during the tracking week of June 16th - June 22nd, 2023, it began a steady ascent on the chart, finally reaching the No. 1 spot during the tracking week of July 7th - July 13th. "Lonely At The Top" is Asake’s 11th No. 1 song — the most of any artiste in the history of the singles chart. 

The single has been the No. 1 song on the Official Nigeria Top 100 for three consecutive weeks — setting a new record for the biggest activity for any single in a week in 2023 in each week. 

During the tracking week of July 7th - July 13th, it tallied 6.04 million on-demand streams and 48.3 million in radio reach, reaching a new peak of No. 1 on the single charts. It maintained its place atop the chart the following week (July 14th - July 20th), by tallying 6.7 million on-demand streams and 64.6 million in radio reach. Last week, "Lonely At The Top" again set a new record for the biggest activity by a single in a week in 2023, with 5.94 million on-demand streams and 81.8 million in radio reach.

The performance of "Lonely At The Top" during the tracking week of July 21st - July 27th makes it only the fourth song to record more chart points than the No. 2 song in a week. The other songs that have achieved this feat are “Cough (Odo)” by Kizz Daniel & EMPIRE, “Buga” by Kizz Daniel & Tekno, and “Peru'' by Fireboy DML & Ed Sheeran.  

Additionally, "Lonely At The Top" recently became the ninth song to top all the charts in Nigeria in a single week It achieved this milestone during the tracking week of July 21st - July 27th. The charts include Official Nigeria Top 100, Shazam, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Audiomack, Boomplay, and Radio. "Lonely At The Top" is the only 2023 song to achieve this feat, with the other songs being "Fem", "Godly", "Lie", "Sip (Alcohol)", "Buga (Lo Lo Lo)", "Bandana", "Cough (Odo)" and "Asiwaju".

“Lonely At The Top” is undoubtedly one of the biggest songs of 2023, as it currently holds the No. 1 spot on streaming and radio simultaneously. With "Work of Art" topping the albums charts and Asake topping the artistes charts, it is certainly lonely at the top for the street-hop act.
