ASAKE has been on a roll since his breaking into the mainstream breaking records and achieving amazing feats. Fresh off being announced as the No. 1 overall artiste in Nigeria for the first half of 2023, he has made history yet again. With Lonely At The Top going No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 last week, Asake became the first artiste to have two albums produce four different No. 1 songs in Nigeria.

His debut album, ‘Mr Money with the Vibe’ previously held the sole record for the most No.1 songs by any album in Nigeria. Sungba Remix, Peace Be Unto You, Terminator and Omo Ope all spent a collective 6 weeks at the summit of the charts.

The release of his sophomore album, ‘Work of Art’ superseded expectations as Asake took his listeners on a musical rollercoaster with the line-up of his tracks, displaying a skilful amount of mastery of his music genre. It came as no surprise that his sophomore album performed as excellently well as his debut album, if not even better.

‘Work of Art’ has now equalled the record held by MMWTV, as the album with the most No.1 songs. ‘Yoga’ ‘Amapiano’ ‘2:30’ and ‘Lonely at the Top’ are the No. 1 songs from the album, spending a collective 10 weeks at the summit of the chart.

While some may complain that his music brand is repetitive, the artiste has proven that he has gained mastery over his music brand and there’s no stopping him.
