Ayra Starr is the Second Artiste Born in the 2000s To Enter the TurnTable Top 50
Ayra Starr, born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, becomes just the second artiste born in the 21st century to enter the TurnTable Top 50. “Away” debuts at No. 10 on the TurnTable Top 50 to join 24Goldn’s “Mood” featuring iann dior, which peaks at No. 19 this week, as the only two artistes born in the last twenty years to enter the chart.
The TurnTable Top 50 blends all-genre freemium streaming (Top Streaming Chart), radio airplay (Top Airplay Chart) and TV airplay (TV Top Songs Chart) in Nigeria – combining music activity and consumption of over 60 million Nigerians, making it the biggest music chart in the country. All charts will be dated and updated on Mondays, this week’s chart will be revealed on Monday, February 1, 2021
“Away” debuts on the Top 50 with 36.17 million radio airplay audience impression, 461,000 TV airplay audience impression and 625,000 equivalent streams. Ayra Starr is also the youngest artiste ever to enter the Top 50 (or the top ten region of the chart). She becomes just the second female to record a top ten song – joining Tems whose “Damages” peaked at No. 6
