“FEM” breaks new record this week

Davido’s “FEM” sets a new record for longest No. 1 song on TV Top Songs Chart and equals the three-week reign of Rema’s “Woman” on the Top Airplay Chart (chart dated Oct 5, 2020).

“Damages” sets a new record for the biggest debut on Top Airplay Chart by a female artiste after debuting at No. 6 on this week’s chart; it breaks the joint record of Tiwa Savage’s “Dangerous Love” bow at No. 7 on the chart dated July 20 and “Koroba” at No. 7 on chart dated August 17.

H.E.R also debuted at No. 7 with her feature on Wizkid’s “Smile” on chart dated. Two songs with female artiste started at No. 2 and No. 4 on the first issue of Top Airplay Chart – “Jerusalema (Remix) which features Nomcebo Zikode and Simi’s “Duduke.” Tems also makes her debut on the TV Top Songs Chart at No. 20.

Wizkid Re-Enters the Chart

Following the premiere of the official video, Wizkid’s “Smile” featuring H.E.R. makes a resurgence on Top Airplay Chart after falling out two weeks ago. This week, the song re-enters at No. 20 while also debuting at No. 15 on TV Top Songs Chart.

Cheque Zooms into the top 20 on Airplay Chart

Superboy Cheque’s “Zoom” jumps 36 places to No. 11 on Top Airplay Chart and debuts at No. 15 on TV Top Song Chart, becoming the artiste’s first top 20 on both charts.

Laycon and the Fierce Nation Makes an Entry on Airplay Chart

Rapper and Big Brother Naija winner of 2020 edition, Laycon makes his first entry on Top Airplay Chart by debuting at No. 47 this week. “Fierce,” a single off his Who is Laycon EP features Reminisce and Chinko Ekun – the former’s second entry on the chart after No. 10- peaking “Ogaranya” and the latter’s first.

BTS are back again

BTS made history by becoming the first K-Pop act to debut on Top Airplay Chart three weeks ago after starting at No. 17. However, “Dynamite” left the Top 50 on the chart dated September 28.

The song re-enters the chart at No. 32 on this week’s chart; it had its most plays during the tracking week on The Beat 99PH, The Beat 99.9FM Lagos, Max FM (Abuja), Urban 96.5 FM and City 105.1 FM.

Debut for Ice Prince and Cuppy

Ice Prince’s “Make Up Your Mind” featuring Tekno starts at No. 25 on this week’s Top Airplay Chart and becoming both artiste’s first entry on the biggest radio chart in the country. Cuppy’s “Feel Good” featuring Fireboy DML launches at No. 50, becoming her second entry on the chart after “Jollof on the Jet” which peaked at No. 11.

“Feel Good” is Fireboy DML’s record eighth entry on the chart, equaling the record for most entries on Top Airplay Chart by Burna Boy.
