High Way, Rush, The Best or Godly for No.1 on the TurnTable Top 50 Next Week
Dj Kaywise & Phyno’s “High Way” appears closer than ever to the No. 1 spot on the TurnTable Top 50, after spending two consecutives at its current peak of No. 2.
Davido’s “The Best” featuring Mayorkun is in the challenge for No. 1 following the premiere of its official video on Thursday, January 27. The song is aiming to return to the top of the chart after spending one week at No. 1 on the chart dated November 30, 2020.
Dangbana Republik & Bella Shmurda’s “Rush,” released on January 26, will get its first full week of tracking. The song debuted at No. 13 on this week’s Top 50 with just two days of tracking. “Rush” is the wildcard in the race for No. 1 on the chart next week.
The Top 50 blends all-genre freemium streaming (Top Streaming Chart), radio airplay (Top Airplay Chart) and TV airplay (TV Top Songs Chart) in Nigeria. All charts will be dated and updated on Mondays, next week’s chart will be revealed on Monday, February 8
According to projections based on building Radiomonitor/TurnTable Data & Analytics figures, “High Way” could draw 58 million in airplay audience and 900,000 streams.
“The Best” could sport 35 million in radio reach, 5 million in TV reach and 1.9 million streams.
“Rush” is looking to draw 27 million radio reach and 2.1 million streams in its first full tracking week.
Omah Lay’s “Godly,” which has spent nine consecutive weeks at No. 1, could tally 38 million radio airplay audience, 8 million in TV reach and 1.3 million streams.
If “High Way” or “Rsuh” moves to No. 1, this would become first chart topper on the survey for all the artistes on those songs.
“The Best” could become the first song to spend two different stints at No. 1 if it moves to the top next week while "Godly" could become the first song to spend double digits week at the top (10+ weeks)
The TurnTable Top 50 of the February 8-dated Top 50 is scheduled to be revealed on Monday (February 8). There are two days of tracking left (today and tomorrow).
