Marlian Music is the First Record Label with Three Artistes in the top ten of TurnTable Top 50 in a Week
Naira Marley, MohBad and Zinoleesky all appear in the top ten of this week’s TurnTable Top 50, making Marlian Music the first record label to achieve this incredible feat.
With Zinoleesky’s “Kilofeshe” joining Naira Marley’s “Koleyewon” and Mohbad’s “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” with Rexxie in the top ten, Marlian Music becomes the first record label to have three artistes in that region simultaneously.
The TurnTable Top 50 blends all-genre freemium streaming (Top Streaming Chart), radio airplay (Top Airplay Chart) and TV airplay (TV Top Songs Chart) in Nigeria – combining music activity and consumption of over 60 million Nigerians, making it the biggest music chart in the country. All charts will be dated and updated on Mondays, this week’s chart will be revealed on Monday, February 1, 2021
“Koleyewon” moves to No. 4 on the chart, which is a new peak for the song and becomes Naira Marley’s highest charting song. The song continues to get more radio and TV airplay while remaining strong on streaming during the tracking week.
Mohbad’s “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” with Rexxie rises 9-6 on the TurnTable Top 50, after peaking at No. 3 on the chart dated December 22, 2020. As the song is yet to have an official video, only its streaming and radio activities contribute to its total chart points.
Finally, Zinoleesky’s “Kilofeshe” ascends to No. 9 – a new peak – and becomes the first top ten for the artiste.
Other record labels with multiple artistes in the top ten are – DMW (two artistes); Davido and Mayorkun for seven chart weeks between December 14, 2020 and January 26, 2021, and RCA Records (two artistes); Davido and Wizkid for ten non-consecutive chart weeks.
